Really good Service and Delicious Food
private cottage attentive staff original selection spacious area
We stayed in a courtyard suite, a lovely private cottage with its own garden. The staff were attentive throughout our stay. The menu offered an original selection, and the extensive wine list was reasonably priced. The hotel public spaces are comfortable and spacious.
During our evening meal, I found a hair in my dessert. The dessert was replaced immediately. I appreciate the quick response but it did impact my overall impression.

The room featured a huge comfy bed and two bathrooms. One bathroom had a walk-in shower while the other had a lovely big bath. The rooms were spotlessly clean with ample toiletries provided for our convenience.

The room, a superior king, was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was AMAZING!!! I enjoyed extra touches like free muffins and drinks at the pool.

extensive list private cottage
the dining experience was very good and the wine list held many options. hotel public spaces are comfortable and spacious. i received an upgrade to ivy cottage and it had its own garden plus a hot tub.
i was charged extra for vegetables despite paying a high price for two courses

attentive staff fine garden
The staff were so attentive (especially at the bar!). The location was perfect for exploring the area. The meals in the dining room featured fresh ingredients. The garden was fine, with different flowers.
The gym only had a limited selection of equipment.

super clean room comfortable bed personal level ordinary food hot food disappointing breakfast
my room was super clean. i found one of the most comfortable beds i have slept in. the staff acknowledged me with a good morning every time i encountered them. they were all happy to talk to me on a personal level.
i found the pub dinner a little disappointing. it had very ordinary pub food. the food looked like it had sat under the keep warm lights too long. breakfasts were disappointing too. the menu was good but the food was not very hot.

varied choice buffet starter
Breakfast offered varied choices and I appreciated the buffet starter with fruit juices yogurt toast and pastries. Hot breakfast items from the kitchen were also available.
Some dishes I ordered were not warm enough.
